There are many things I love about Beautycounter products, but the thing I love the most is that every one of their products is worry-free. All of their products use safer ingredients, so I know they’re the best option when I need a product! I pack pretty light when it comes to beauty products when camping, but these five products are always on the go with me!
Beautycounter Countersun
Countersun Mineral Sunscreen is perfect for the whole family! In a SPF 30 lotion, stick and non-nano mist, this line covers all of our safer sunscreen needs. Countersun does not include Octinoxate or Oxybenzone, ingredients known to contribute to the collapse of coral reefs around the world, so we can feel good about using them, too. I go nowhere without a bottle of mist and a stick in my bag to ensure we’re always ready for some fun in the sun.
Beautycounter Dew Skin Moisturizer
This tinted moisturizer is perfect for every day with SPF 20 and a buildable tint for adjustable coverage. We take a lot of family photos while we’re camping – as well as business photos for me to use, it’s part of the full-time hustle! So even on days I’m off adventuring instead of working, I still want to look camera ready. I use Dew Skin every day, including on days I’m camping! It gives me enough coverage and the moisturizing is great. For high sun days on the beach or on the trail, I’ll layer our Countersun Mineral Sunscreen beneath it.
Beautycounter Color Outline Eye Pencil
Speaking of being camera ready … I have one real weakness. An Achilles heel, perhaps. And that is that I cannot go without eyeliner. I think I look absolutely naked without it! So yes, I’m that girl – the one with eyeliner on as soon as my contacts go in. I’ve tried a lot of eyeliners in my life, and I really, really love the Beautycounter version. It’s a great color, smooths on, and is non-smudging, but also isn’t so waterproof I need something harsh to get it off. And it makes me feel not naked, so there’s that.
Beautycounter One-Step Makeup Remover Wipes
These wipes are made for on-the-go adventures! One oversized wipe removes all my makeup and cleanses my skin. That means it’s also great for a quick wipedown of any dirty, sweaty, or gritty skin – basically the end of any adventure day at Camp Bones. For maximum refreshment, I keep them in our camper fridge. Oil-free, no added fragrance, safe for contact lens wearers and compostable, too – these wipes are one of my favorite Beautycounter products.
Beautycounter Cleansing Balm
Next to my One-Step Makeover Remover Wipes in my camper fridge is Beautycounter’s heavy-hitter, the ultimate multi-tasker, Cleansing Balm. This is my one-stop moisturizer for camping adventures! My at-home skin care regime includes a half dozen products, full disclosure, but camping I remove makeup and cleanse and moisturize with just two, the wipes and Cleansing Balm. You can use the balm to cleanse – imagine that, right? – but camping I use a small amount on damp skin as a moisturizer. And as a bonus – Cleansing Balm is also a great skin soother for a sunburn or other irritated skin!
These five products will cover your next camping trip or adventure.
Note: I no longer am a Beautycounter Consultant. I love the products and am still a customer but have decided to devote my time to other pursuits! To find a Beautycounter Consultant, search here.
